Teena Hostovich is executive vice president of Lockton Insurance Brokers, LLC and a Los Angeles business leader who is actively involved in the community.
As Lockton's top female producer internationally, she is recognized as a leading global authority on professional liability and complex risk. She has earned admiration for her expertise in establishing a national law firm and a higher education practice for Lockton. She has also provided significant leadership as a member of the Executive Committee for Lockton Southern California's Los Angeles, Newport Beach and San Diego offices.
Her professional achievements have garnered various insurance industry and business awards. She has been named one of 50 "Women to Watch" internationally by Business Insurance and among the "Top 40 Women in Los Angeles" in the "Executive of the Year" category by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
She also has been recognized by the California State Legislature as "Outstanding Corporate Woman" for her contributions to the community, which have focused on organizations committed to diversity, the arts, at-risk girls and their families, as well as the professional development of young women.
Her positive leadership, intellectual creativity, integrity and strong work ethic has served as an inspiration to young women she has mentored, many of whom are now in senior positions in the industry. She represents the ideology that there are no boundaries to what a woman can achieve in business. She has taught a leadership workshop focusing on opportunities in insurance for a group of USC Marshall School of Business students, and a class at UCLA on issues facing women in the corporate world.
Politics is another area Ms. Hostovich has worked to inspire women. She actively supports Southern California Women For Obama, a local grassroots initiative headed by political consultant Lena Kennedy, to encourage women to get involved in the political process and ensure their voice is heard. Her political activism includes serving as member of President Obama's National Finance Committee and Women Leadership Forum (WLF).
Her exemplary role and service to the community reflects her belief in giving back and the power of one person to make a difference in the world. She is deeply committed to organizations that make a difference in the lives of women and children, as well as the disenfranchised.
In 2007, she joined the Board of Governors of Opportunity International, which is dedicated to the elimination of global poverty through microfinance. She sits on the Board of Trustees of St. Anne's, which works with disadvantaged young women, children, and families. In addition, she serves on the Los Angeles Philharmonic Board of Overseers and has supported Music Matters, which brings music programs into inner-city schools.
She is also actively involved with Friends of Cal Arts, University of Redlands, REDCAT Theater, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Union Rescue Mission, La Canada Educational Foundation, Greater Los Angeles Zoo, American Film Institute, and USC, her alma mater.
